More Fun With Shift Registers

The past few weekends have been a bit hectic, but thanks to a few well-timed trips to Toronto, I was able to stock up on some more parts for my pinball project, and thus more things to experiment with.

I grabbed a few more of the 595 shift registers, and some proper 7-segment LEDs. I also needed a mess more wire, but it’s cheap there, so I stocked up. After wiring up the two 7-segments, I’m already low on blue wire:

I still have a fair amount of learning to do, as I still somehow bought the wrong type of 7-segment LED, and somehow got it working by hooking up the wrong wire. At the time I wasn’t in the mood to ask questions. Now I am.

Looking forward to learning more, stringing a few of these together, and building my proper scoreboard!
